Your body keeps the record.
Your past, your conditioning, and unresolved issues are embedded in your tissue.
Shaping who you are and influencing everything you attract in life.
Healing solely through the mind has its limitations.
The mind will attempt to protect you, even when there is no danger, often keeping you stuck in a repetitive cycle.
Incorporating the body into your healing practice can be difficult, as the body does not lie.
Excess or lack of tissue, chronic tension patterns, posture, etc., all tell the story of what is stored in your subconscious.
Unfelt emotions, the words you suppressed when you felt voiceless, and even inherited generational trauma reside within your body.
Your mind can mislead you, but your body cannot.
Only when you are ready to delve deeper within yourself, should you consider this approach.
Your body will only let go, when you truly feel safe.
When faced with an overwhelming situation, it is natural to disconnect from yourself as a coping mechanism.
To separate from the part of you that is struggling to cope.
That unintegrated part affects everything.
Until that part is integrated, you will not feel completely right.
Feeling anxious, ungrounded, and unsafe are common symptoms, when a part of you is trapped in the past.
The only way to heal that aspect and regain wholeness is to allow those trapped emotions to be felt.
This is a somatic experience.
Creating safety within the body enables you to reconnect with that part of you, bringing it back home.
This cannot be achieved by working solely with the mind.
That is why I often encounter clients who are exhausted and frustrated after trying talking therapy without achieving their desired results.
Times are changing, and people are becoming more aware.
Incoporating the body in your healing practice is essential for true liberation.
